Day 11 -- Quiet by the Pond

I am sitting outside the RV listening to a myriad of birds, surrounded by trees and facing the pond on our church's property (the church we attended while living here). They have graciously given us permission to camp here for the week while we make day trips via rental car into D.C. and Baltimore. The church building itself is up a dirt/gravel road with the fields and ball park as well as pavilion and pond at the lower portion, far from the road. Need I say .... it is lovely and so good to be still and quiet for a day.

Isabelle and I opted to hang here for the day, while Joe and the boys headed into D.C. after rush hour this morning. My gracious husband got his news fix (and what a day to get news!!) as well as serving his family by taking our pile of laundry to the laundromat at 7:00 a.m. this morning while the rest of us enjoyed a leisurely morning of getting ready for the day. Our sweet friend and pastor's wife - Ms. Deb, showed up last night with a tray of fresh fruit and cheese (boy did that taste good!) and will be stopping by after lunch to pick us up and grant us the privilege of her blessed company as well as the use of her washing machine (sheets and towels are next on the agenda)!!
I'm afraid the blog will be rather boring until this evening as the boys are away and I likely won't get pictures until this evening. Check back then!

  1. We love checking in every day (and night!) to find out where the Kronz' are today and read all about their newest adventure. This will definitely be a memorable trip for all of you. This is exactly the kind of trip we'd like to take! Glad the girls are getting some relaxing down time and the guys are having fun with the guns and coins!
