Day 4 -- Feeling Presidential

We made it to Springfield and enjoyed the Lincoln Museum and Presidential Library -- lots of info and great exhibits. Isaac and Isabelle have been collecting the penny press pennies from each historical site. It was a worthy stop! We're moving on to Indiana ....

After a late arrival at Long Branch State Park in Missouri, we are now on the road toward Springfield, Illinois -- destination: Lincoln Presidential Library. The state park was situated on a lake with lush green everywhere and the humidity to match it which made it so comfortably warm that we opened the windows this morning to air things out a bit. Too bad we couldn't stay longer .... I even got a quick walk in with Joe before taking off. I'm hoping that perhaps we can coordinate the remainder of our camping to be in state parks as they are ever so much nicer than RV parks.
It's hard to believe this is only day 4 -- feels like we've been on the road for a week already :-) We'll update with pictures later today. Blessings all! We love the comments -- makes us feel like we're not quite so far from home. Keep 'em comin'!
