Our historical stop for the day was the "Old West Museum" in Cheyenne where we were able to see some authentic old-fashioned buggies, including one that we could sit in and pretend to ride, complete with hats. Our driver looks a bit frightened! :-)
This is a fairly nice museum showcasing mostly the life of the rodeo riders and workers, complete with Native American clothing, saddles and ropes, and rodeo footage via videos playing with comfortable seating. Wyoming and its inhabitants remind us a lot of Idahoans -- although the accent has been surprising :-)
We asked around re: a hometown meal, but none of them included salad beyond a bowl of iceberg so we opted to cook once settled at our campground for my behalf (fast food tends to make me ill). The weather has been fine, albeit cold .... only a bit of green here. I'm sure things will look a bit different as we head into the midwest farm country. 830 miles so far!
